Calamari Salad

Okay...this calamari salad is super easy...I buy 1-2 lbs of calamari at santa monica seafood (or your local fish monger)...it's usually pretty cheap $7/lb?
I love the brininess of seafood, so I don't drain or wash it...I put olive oil in a frying pan and lay them in...I just lightly brown both sides...sometimes there will be a clear fin-like (like a long flat sliver of plastic) in the bodies, I pull those out...then I cut it all up...add capers, olives (I usually cheat and do the tapenade from costco- who has time to cut up a million olives?), tomatoes, peppers, any herbs you want, garbonzo beans if you want?...it usually just depends what I have in the fridge...peperoncini's? oh and red onion...and next time I make it, I'm for sure adding the pickled garlic that I (somehow) just discovered.  Pair with some yum wine!  cheers
